ABBREVIATIONS:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
dc 3 tog = double crochet three together (begin a dc in the next st, but don't complete the last part of the dc, instead, leave the last 2 loops on your hook, then start a new dc in the next st, leave 3 loops on your hook, then make your last dc in the next st, and for last step, pull yarn through all 4 loops left on hook.)
INSTRUCTIONS:
HOW TO MAKE A BOBBLE: Yarn over, insert hook into st, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over, draw through 1 loop, [yarn over, insert hook into same st, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, yarn over, draw through 1 loop] repeat 4 times, yarn over and draw through all 6 loops on hook.
With J hook and bouclé yarn, ch 123.
ROW 1: skip 1st 2 chs (counts as 1 dc), dc in 3rd ch from hook, (dc in next 3 chs, work dc 3 tog in next 3 chs, dc in next 3 chs, 3 dc in next ch) repeat across, ending with 2 dc in last ch, turn. (145 dc)
ROW 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc into 1st dc, (dc in next 3dc, work dc 3 tog in next 3 dc, dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in next dc) repeat across, ending with 2 dc in top of turning ch, turn.
ROWS 3-6: Repeat Row 2.
Row 7 (bobble row): ch 3, dc in 1st dc, [dc in next 3 dc, skip next dc, work bobble in next dc, skip next dc, dc in next 3 dc, work bobble in next dc] repeat across, ending with 1 dc in top of turning ch, turn.
